God's Plan
First, let's explain some of the key terms we'll be referencing:
- God - Creator of the Universe
- Humankind - God's Living Creation
- Sin - Human disobedience to God's Plan
- Bible - God's autobiography revealing His plan
- Jesus - God in human form to bear the sin that condemns us
- Saved - What God does for a person who accepts His plan for life
Romans is a book within the Bible that lays out some straightforward truths about Jesus, His plan, and our destiny:
- Romans 3:23 = For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
- Romans 5:8 = God loved us so much that when we were in our sin Jesus came to die for us.
- Romans 6:23 = For the wages of our sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Romans 10:9-10 = If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Eternal Questions
Based on these verses, you are faced with several very important, eternal questions...
- Do you know that you are separated from God because of sin?
- Do you believe that Jesus died for your sin on a cross?
- Do you want to ask Jesus to become your Lord?
- Do you want to pray for Jesus to save you?
Romans 10:13 says, "Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved." This means YOU. If you truly believe that Jesus is Lord and you desire to call upon his name, the prayer below can serve as a guide for you to do that today.
Dear God,
I know that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I believe that God raised Jesus from the grave. I ask that you Jesus, become Lord of my life and save me today. Thank you for forgiveness. Thank you for eternal life. I commit to live my life for you.
